1850s-1900s Clerical Waistcoat Pattern

RC931- 1850s-1900s Clerical Waistcoat Pattern. Get a different vest to wear with your priest's collar. We have the solution. This is a pattern for a Clerical Waistcoat as worn by English clergy from the 1850s through the early 1900s. Button front and high gorge, the small stand collar leaves just enough of an opening through which to glimpse your identifying collar. Embellishment suggestions, historical notes and period tailoring techniques included. Suggested Fabrics: wool, linen for lining, heavy linen or canvas for interlining and back. Yardage Requirements: 2 yds at least 45" wide, (1 yard each if making plain linen back). Notions: thread, buttons for front closure, buttonhole floss.
